Refund Policy
The short version. Not for you? Any charge is refundable within 14 days of payment — no questions asked, monthly or annual. Email us or ask through Paddle, and the money goes back to your original payment method.
1. The 14-day guarantee
If you request a refund within 14 daysof any charge — your first payment after the trial, a monthly renewal, or an annual payment — we refund it in full. You don't need to give a reason, and we won't ask for one.
2. Before you're ever charged
Every subscription starts with a 7-day free trial. Cancel any time during the trial and you pay nothing at all. We send a reminder before the trial converts to a paid subscription.
3. How to request a refund
- Email [email protected]from the address on your account and say "refund" — that's enough; or
- use the receipt from Paddle (our merchant of record), which includes a direct link to request a refund on the transaction.
Refunds are processed by Paddle to your original payment method, normally within 5–10 business days depending on your bank. Any VAT or sales tax charged is refunded along with the payment.
4. After 14 days
Charges older than 14 days are generally not refundable, but you can cancel at any time to stop future charges — your subscription simply runs to the end of the period you've paid for. If something exceptional happened (for example, the Service was down for a substantial part of your billing period), write to us anyway; we are reasonable people.
5. Fair use of this policy
This policy exists so trying Dictopad is risk-free, not as a mechanism for free ongoing use. We may decline refunds where the pattern indicates abuse (for example, repeated subscribe-refund cycles on the same or related accounts).
6. Your statutory rights
Nothing here limits any non-waivable rights you have under the South African Consumer Protection Act, EU consumer law, or other applicable consumer protection legislation. See also our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
